Luca Ferraro, born in Rome in 1998, is a young painter known for his strong connection to the classical world, which deeply influences both the aesthetics and meaning of his work. His painting is rooted in solid technical skill and a revival of the “great craft” tradition, typical of art before the avant-gardes. His works, rich in detail and carefully composed, evoke mythological and symbolic atmospheres, where myth becomes a key to interpreting the human condition. Ferraro does not simply imitate the past but transforms it into a poetic and contemporary vision, in contrast to the ephemeral and aggressive nature of much of today’s art. After graduating from a science-based high school, he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Via Ripetta. He then pursued classical painting techniques at “Scienza dell’Arte,” a school directed by master painter Marco Rossati. Thanks to his talent and dedication, he quickly became a teacher and Rossati’s assistant, earning in 2023 the prestigious title of “Magister in Painting and Drawing.” The 2024 exhibition at the Caffè Letterario marks his official debut with a solo show.
